The David Lin Report · Monday, August 10, 2026
The stock market's aggressive rebound in early August is attributed to a perceived shift in the Federal Reserve's tone following their meeting, which caught many by surprise. Hedge funds have also been actively buying tech stocks at a significant pace, contributing to the upward momentum.
“I think that pivot after the Fed meeting really caught a lot of people by surprise because I don't think Warsaw's tone was exactly what people thought it was.”
“And now, um, I think it was either late last night or this morning, um, some of the major banks are expecting three rate hikes this year, where we're expecting rate cuts two months ago.”
“And hedge funds, I saw been buying tech at the quickest pace since I think like the COVID rally, like it's been insane to see the volume coming back into some of these stocks.”
