Nanit's CEO has stated the company's goal is to be involved in children's lives and bedrooms until they receive their first smartwatch, typically around age 10. This ambition raises privacy concerns, especially regarding data collection on children in the 5-10 age range.
“And I think its goal, um, as its CEO told me is to really be a part of kids lives in their bedrooms until they get their first Apple Watch, which the CEO told me is typically the age of 10.”
“So I think these questions around privacy certainly come up when you're talking about a kid who, you know, is in those ages, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10.”
