The recent Farnborough Air Show saw fewer than half the number of aircraft order announcements compared to pre-COVID shows, with 327 aircraft ordered. Boeing secured over half of these orders, indicating a shift in the market dynamics from previous years.
“This podcast will be a whole lot more interesting than the Farnborough Air Show was this past week. Yeah. Not much action on airline orders or airline news. Apparently this show was all about defense this year.”
“You know, there were, it was a yawn, I agree, but 327 aircraft were, um, order announcements were made, and that was 53% just over half went to Boeing.”
“But boy, I mean, that is a far cry from the thousand plus orders that were announced in in the air shows over, you know, whether Paris or Farnborough in years past before COVID.”
