Al Cohen, CEO of Humble Robotics, reflects on the past two decades in the Bay Area's tech scene, noting the shift in focus from electrification to autonomous vehicles. He highlights how the progress in autonomous vehicle technology has followed a longer arc than the public's attention span.
“I've been in the Bay Area now 20 years, all of it, uh, working on kind of these new startups, uh, deep tech, physical AI, whatever, whatever the sort of like, the newest way to call it is, but I've had quite a bit of experiences.”
“And when you get to the 2016, 14, 16 era that you're talking about, what kind of started motivating a lot of people to come together was autonomous vehicles.”
“But the arc of the technology sometimes is longer than people's attention span, right?”
