Pete Donaldson shared an update on his lost Ricoh GR3 camera, which he lost at an APA hotel. After involving a third-party company, the camera has been liberated from a police box and is expected to be returned to him via UPS delivery within the week.
“Ah. Wow. Hello, welcome to the Aaron Japan podcast. Probably the best way of learning about life in Japan without actually being in Japan. And I'm not in Japan. Because I'm here with the great Pete Donaldson himself. Pete, how are you?”
“I'm um, doing very well. And I'll tell you for why I'm doing very well. Chris, my camera, that was last seen at an Apo hotel via Shire Kutuzawa, um, uh, police box is now in third party possession. Oh no. And I'm nearly there. It's nearly there. I've had pictures taken of it. Basically, um, I was bothering Chris and demanding that he, um, helps me liberate my camera from a Shire police box, uh, because I lost it at an Apo hotel a few weeks ago. And I've managed to get a company. Chris went all around the country and by the time he got back to Tokyo, I'd already sorted out somebody to, to do it for me. I'm not going to tell you what the company is in case they don't come through with it. But they've liberated it from the police station, after asking the same question about 15 times, but it's there, in their possession. They've wrapped it up in some, um, some, uh, bubble wrap. And, uh, it's hopefully going to be in my possession very soon. On a UPS 3-day delivery. So I will update you next time we do a show. But the journey of my Riko GR3 is nearly complete. And sort of pictures of Natsuki in his steamy wonderland in that weird town that we went to, um, will soon be available for delectation.”
