Alex Honnold described his current life phase as a "middle-aged dad" dealing with small children while striving to be the best climber he can be. He also humorously noted his status as an aspiring rock climber.
“Well, I mean, I would say I'm a professional rock climber and I love climbing things. But who I am, I'm not gonna describe myself as a middle-aged dad. Which is kind of how I've spent the bulk of my time. I'm just sort of like dealing with small kids and and just trying to be the best climber I can be.”
