Lin Qiao, CEO of Fireworks, revealed that the company has closed its Series D funding round at a $17.5 billion post-money valuation. She elaborated on Fireworks' strategy, which focuses on specialized intelligence as a parallel approach to generalized intelligence, believing that the future of AI will involve millions of specialized models rather than a duopoly.
“Yeah, we just finished raising series D, $1.5 billion cash, uh, and, uh, and, uh, $17.5 billion valuation, post-money valuation.”
“So, we build, uh, specialized intelligence platform. Uh, so specialized intelligence is a parallel strategy to generalized intelligence. And this is a lot of discussion actually happening across industry. And, uh, we are very happy to participate in that debate, but also, uh, really charge forward to build the best tool in the specialized intelligence category.”
“But we do not believe the world will be dominated by a few models from, uh, front labs. The world will not be a duopoly. The world will be millions of specialized models, one per application per use case.”
