Zoox, an Amazon-owned autonomous vehicle company, has received a first-of-its-kind approval in the United States to begin charging passengers for rides in its driverless taxis. The company plans to start charging in Las Vegas next month and is permitted to deploy 2,500 taxis annually for the next two years.
