The UN's International Maritime Organization has paused plans to evacuate over 11,000 sailors from the Strait of Hormuz following a drone strike on a cargo ship. The agency cited the need for necessary safety guarantees before resuming operations.
“The UN's uh International Maritime Organization has suspended plans to evacuate more than 11,000 sailors stranded in the strait after a cargo ship transitioning uh transiting this waterway was struck by a projectile.”
