The Clarity Act appears to have stalled in the Senate, with its chances of becoming law significantly reduced according to market probability indicators. In response, SEC Chair Paul Atkins stated that the SEC is ready and willing to create rules to address clarity and other aspects of the crypto market, even without statutory law.
“The potential for this to happen this week has faded. Polymarket of whether this gets signed into law, the Clarity Act on the week, down to 26%. Last week, we had some hope. It was up to 40%. Now it's down to 26%.”
“We are ready, willing and able to come out with rules, you know, that address the same issues in clarity and other aspects of the crypto market. Ultimately, we need the certainty of a statute.”
