EJ Antoni speculated that AI advancements might increase demand for skilled tradespeople, as AI is unlikely to perform tasks like plumbing or electrical work. He also posited that the increasing ease of creating deepfakes could render digital evidence inadmissible in court, potentially reviving demand for professions like security guards.
“You know, I I think there's going to be a much bigger demand for for people who work with their hands. And again, the reason for that goes back to you're going to spend so much less money on other things, maybe on on basic legal services. you know, you can just have AI do a lot of that work for you. So, you spend so much less money on that that you have more money maybe to do a home renovation project. Well, guess what? AI is not going to do your plumbing or or run your electrical for you.”
“AI is not going to be the mason that puts a new uh brick or stone facade on your home, right? So, it will it may very well increase demand for for occupations in the trades, you know.”
“But the other thing, and this is maybe where we're getting really into the realm of of speculation here, David, but when I watch how good AI has become at these like deep fake videos, right? AI has become so good at things like making videos, I I begin to wonder, are we approaching a point, and again, this is this is pure speculation on my part. Are we approaching a point where it will become so easy to fake video and audio that those types of things, anything digital perhaps, will no longer be admissible in court?”
