Decades after the Rosenberg trial, David Greenglass's testimony has been re-evaluated. While he initially did not implicate his sister Ethel, he later changed his story to say she typed up atomic data he provided, a change that occurred after his own charges were dropped. He ultimately served less than 10 years of a 15-year sentence.
“Upon further questioning, Greenglass claimed that he had been recruited to spy for the Soviet Union by his brother-in-law, Julius Rosenberg. Notably, he did not implicate his sister during this questioning.”
