The new Holland America Line ship, the Statendam, is slated to offer year-round European cruises, including Mediterranean and Baltic Sea itineraries, as well as Christmas market tours. This new strategy means the ship will remain in Europe from 2026 to 2028.
“I was on the new Statendam, which is one of their newer lines of ships. And this is actually going to be their new all year Europe cruise, meaning this specific ship is not going to leave Europe in 2026 to 2028.”
“So you're telling me this is a Christmas market cruise? Exactly. They are going to start sailing longer in Europe doing Mediterranean cruises, cruises in the Baltic Sea, like I did. And they will also be doing cruises to the Christmas markets through Germany and Denmark, all those things.”
