Chris reflects on his personal experience after listening to Bill Perkins' "Die With Zero" concept, admitting he was previously focused on endless accumulation. He realized he was making irrational decisions, prioritizing optimization over valuable time with his family, which prompted a re-evaluation of his goals.
“I was willing to consider cutting half of my income from my business to get back, you know, hours a week that there were better ways to buy back those hours for like, you know, a tiny fraction of the cost.”
“And right after that, we were like, what are we doing? You know, like, what is really the goal here? Is the goal more accumulation at the expense of time?”
“And I think in some ways we've gotten better. Right? In some ways, I see myself spending money in ways that we wouldn't have been able to do four years ago.”
