Anthropic is extending free access to its Fable 5 model and increasing weekly rate limits on paid plans until July 19th. This move comes as OpenAI's new GPT 5.6 family shows competitive performance on coding and reasoning tasks. Fable 5's release was previously hampered by a 19-day suspension due to security reasons.
