Alistair Pullen of Cosine AI explains how their business model as an inference company allows them to operate with significantly less capital than US-based AI giants. By licensing technology rather than hosting models, they avoid the massive data center costs associated with inference.
“How can you do in millions what they are doing with billions?”
“We at Co sign on are an inference company.”
“What that means in practice for Co sign is that we license the technology that we build. We don't actually make a margin on tokens or anything like that.”
“um And all of this ties into your question, meaning, um we don't have to spend a lot of the money that the Americans are having to spend on data centers for inference purposes.”
