The David Lin Report · Monday, July 13, 2026
David Lin suggests that global events, such as the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and persistent inflation worldwide, are contributing to upward pressure on interest rates. These international factors prevent any significant softening of rate positions.
“Uh, there was some opportunity when, you know, it looked like war might be over in the Middle East, but it's not, clearly.”
“Uh, that continues to oppress all kinds of different, uh, countries throughout the world. Not necessarily the US, but other countries. And it's not, the US doesn't exist in a vacuum. I mean, there is an impact, uh, through the world when, uh, you have this sort of inflation percolating everywhere.”
