Wix CEO Avishai Abrahami shared his unconventional sleep schedule, typically going to sleep between 5-6 AM and waking around 11 AM, which he finds beneficial for focused work. He contrasts this with the perceived necessity of early sleep schedules in some tech circles, noting that wearable tech companies like Aura have adapted their sleep profiles to include 'very late sleepers'.
“So I usually go to sleep at around 5 to 6 AM, and I'd wake up at around 11, 11:30. Been my routine. It's been pretty much the same.”
“And uh, as opposed to always being, you know, in a meeting and have to fight to get a clear schedule. So I have probably four hours where I can actually do real work and a task.”
“Actually, Aura did at some point edit the sleep profile where they define that uh, so they had this theory, right? Which is a very, I would say, Northern California, which is you have to go to sleep at like 9 PM or something.”
“And then they added very late sleepers. Okay? So they kind of like this that well, there are different profiles and apparently by the way, there's a genetic profile. So it's very hard to move between them.”
