Xinju Wu notes that while the automotive industry is moving towards a central compute architecture, some legacy automakers are slower to adapt compared to new OEMs. He states that this shift is essential for competitiveness.
“100%. Uh, again, I, uh, I had the, let's say, uh, opportunity to witness what happening in China, you know, from, uh, 2018 to 2023. And the whole industry, you know, went through this massive change, just in five years. Over there, not only the new OEMs, also the legacy ones have to adapt. And everybody is adapting to a, basically a single central compute kind of architecture because that's how you compete.”
“Well, some of them obviously will be slower, some of them will be faster, that's the nature of this business. But I have no doubt that the world is evolving towards that direction.”
