Randy Krasner, a University of Chicago professor and former Federal Reserve governor, expressed optimism about returning to two percent inflation. He anticipates this goal will be reached within approximately 12 to 18 months, though not within the next quarter or by year-end.
“Oh? I think we can. It's not going to happen in the next quarter. It's not going to happen by the end of the year. But I do think that within let's see a year to eighteen months, we can be pretty close.”
