Montargis, a town outside Burgundy in the Loire province, is a "four-flower town" recognized for its public gardens. It serves as a starting point for Briare Canal cruises and is a tourist attraction, especially when the large barges pass through its locks.
“The meetup point for this cruise, as well as a lot of the European waterways cruises in the area is the Hotel Westminster in Paris.”
“We met the group there, hop on a van, met the other six people we would be traveling with, and drove a couple of hours out to the town of Montargis.”
“And Montargis is a four-flower town. Now, I was not familiar with this system.”
