Chris and his wife embarked on a luxury barge cruise on the Briare Canal in France with European Waterways. The trip, which cost nearly $10,000 per person, was a return to a favored travel experience for his wife, who appreciated the intimate setting with only eight passengers and five crew members, including a dedicated French chef.
“This is going to be another solo episode of the show, but not a solo trip. This is actually a trip that I did with my wife, and that is significant because basically, the way this trip happened was my wife, who was still working for a living, I asked her, before I plan out what trips I'm going to take this year, what is it that you want to do?”
“Eight passengers, five crew, including a French chef, and really, do I have to say more?”
“This is a luxury experience. It's just short of $10,000 per person to do this.”
