Fiji Simo, OpenAI's CEO of AGI Deployment, has announced her resignation citing a worsening medical condition that requires a longer recovery period. She will transition to a part-time advisor role. Simo, who previously managed significant responsibilities and oversaw the introduction of ads and health advice features to ChatGPT, had taken medical leave in April.
