The DeFi space is expanding beyond CLOs to include tokenized Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and potentially equities. While tokenizing equities may take time, the promise of cheaper leverage compared to traditional finance is a significant driver for DeFi adoption.
“So, I mean, in terms of like what's coming up, you know, we're seeing, for example, like REITs, uh, real estate investment trusts are, uh, there's a couple of those, uh, coming out. So we're excited about those.”
“Um, I think, uh, kind of equities right now are are really hot. And I think it'll take a while, um, to get there, right?”
“Right? But like the promise is huge, right? Like if you go, if you had some stock, if you have Tesla stock and you want to go borrow against your Tesla stock, like your broker is going to charge you like very single digit, low double digits, right?”
