Delta to Launch 'Basic Business' and 'Basic First Class' Options

Delta is introducing 'Basic Business' and 'Basic First Class' fare options, akin to basic economy, for flights starting in September. These fares will have restrictions such as no free seat assignments until check-in, reduced mileage earnings, fewer checked bags, and no Sky Club access (with exceptions for certain cardholders).

You, um, you do not get free seat assignments until check-in. You have reduced mileage earnings. Fewer check bags allowed except that this is not impacted if you have like a credit card or elite status, how many bags you get from that.

It does not include Delta Sky Club access. That starts January 18th of 2027.
