Arvind Jain, co-founder of Glean, believes that enterprise leaders are both terrified of and dependent on frontier AI model providers. He acknowledges a skepticism towards these providers due to concerns about business continuity and over-reliance on technology, but also notes that many enterprises are exploring AI despite these fears.
“Well, two things, you know, one, they're terrified of them, like in the sense that hey, will we be in business, will the models eat it all?”
“Similarly, enterprises leaders also worried, is their sort of core IP, their data, their information, their way of learning, their way of doing things, like, will they all be subjected to too much of technology dependence on these model providers?”
“So that feeling is there for sure.”
