The proliferation of drones in modern warfare, particularly in Ukraine, is forcing a significant shift in military medical evacuation strategies. Traditional "Golden Hour" protocols are becoming untenable as drones provide constant surveillance, making traditional evacuation methods dangerous and prolonged casualty care is becoming the new standard.
“They see everything is the way they put it. The drones see everything. They have, not just cameras, they have night vision, they have thermal vision, they can see heat signatures. It's pretty pretty big thing.”
“It means PCC. It means prolonged casualty care. This medical concept. Um, the medics are going to have to be able to keep wounded troops alive longer. They won't be able to get them out in minutes.”
“So more and more of the Ukrainians are using ground drones. Uh, they're using armored ground drones to evacuate the wounded. We're looking more and more and into ground drones for that sort of thing, but also to get these crucial medical supplies up to the front lines.”
