Meta has launched its new AI image generator, Muse, which allows users to create realistic images for Instagram and WhatsApp. Privacy advocates are concerned because users must proactively opt-out to prevent their content from being used by the AI, rather than an opt-in system. This process reportedly requires users to delete and reinstall the app to access the opt-out settings.
“It's called Muse image. Apparently there's a Muse video coming soon.”
“But Muse image can create photo realistic images on Instagram and WhatsApp.”
“Um, instead of having its users opt in to this new feature, they have to actively or proactively going to opt out.”
“Um, I did have to delete the app and reinstall it in order to actually be able to toggle off those um, those settings.”
