Annual attendance reports for 2025 showed that Walt Disney World's attendance dipped about 0.2% compared to 2024, while Universal Studios Hollywood saw an 8% drop. Sally French noted that the drop at Universal was likely due to the novelty of Super Nintendo World wearing off after opening in 2024.
“In 2025, attendance actually dipped about 0.2% at Walt Disney World versus 2024. Not a ton, but attendance is not rising. So I do think this is good news if you're someone who's always worried about crowds.”
“Universal Studios Hollywood's attendance dropped 8% in 2025 from 2024. Part of that might be the 2025 LA wildfires. They weren't really near Universal Studios Hollywood, But really why I think it dropped so much is because Super Nintendo World opened in 2024. And so then in 2025, I think some of that novelty has worn off.”
