The Hutchins family stayed at the Grand Hotel Victoria in Menaggio on Lake Como by leveraging Hilton points and free night certificates. Normally priced around $1,650 a night for a courtyard room, they booked the property for four nights using 680,000 Hilton points and four free night certificates, highlighting the redemption value.
“They were 170,000 points a night, Hilton points... accumulating four free nights for us was possible, accumulating eight was not. And so we managed to book four nights with free night certificates and then four nights with 680,000 Hilton points.”
