Doug, co-founder and CEO of Preda base, shared his background in AI, including his work at Google on the Google Assistant and Google Cloud's AI platform (later Vertex AI). His early focus was on resilient machine learning algorithms for privacy-preserving use cases. He also mentioned his experience at Uber building machine learning frameworks.
“So prior to Google, I, uh, both did my undergrad and masters in computer science and stats, focusing on, um, resilient, like machine learning algorithms, specifically for like privacy preserving use cases.”
“And then the second, uh, area that I worked was actually on Google Cloud's AI platform.”
“So that's what I was working on until the end of 2020, the pandemic when I met my co-founders, who had built these frameworks at Uber to make it easier to be able to use machine learning internally and build these applications.”
