Suresh Venkatarayalu explained that Honeywell is layering probabilistic artificial general intelligence models on top of its traditional 140-year-old deterministic and heuristic control systems. This combination allows the company to build learning systems that still adhere to mission-critical safety standards.
“What has happened in the last few years, we have started seeing what we call AGI, artificial general intelligence, which is probabilistic model with limited knowledge and insight, ability to train and learn knowledge.”
“So now in Honeywell, we are trying to really bring in the best of the world on both sides. We are clubbing our probabilistic model, which you call AGI, on top of our deterministic model.”
