David Capablanca detailed his experience showering on Skid Row during the Covid-19 pandemic, noting that many facilities like gyms and hotels were closed. He mentioned the presence of the National Guard in downtown hotels and protests occurring concurrently. Despite these challenging circumstances, he was having his first profitable months in trading, which he described as life-changing money.
“So Skid Row during Covid, here in Los Angeles, especially, all the, all everything was closed. All the gyms, all the hotels, hotels weren't taking anybody. The hotels here in downtown had, uh, the National Guard, you know, the National Guard would go and camp out in the hotels. And, uh, it was crazy. Got like Hazmat suits and, uh, all that stuff. And then on top of that, there was a lot of protests here in downtown.”
“So it was, it was a, and at the same time, I'm having my first profitable months, life-changing amount of, uh, money that I'm making during those months because I'm digging myself out of a hole.”
