Odysseus Lamtzidis points out that while Lloyd's warned in 2024 that LLMs would create more cyber risk, cyber insurance premiums have consistently fallen, leading him to predict that many of these insurance carriers will fail.
“There was a very interesting data point where in 2024, Lloyd's, which is the biggest car in the world, said that LLMs will create more cyber risk. And, you know. the premiums of cyber insurance actually have been falling consistently since 2024.”
“So I think actually we'll see a lot of these carriers failing. So that's even not a, you know, silver bullet, but probably not self-custarding for the next 12 months seems a good idea.”
