Dane Knecht states that vulnerabilities reported in CVEs are increasing exponentially and expects that the majority of engineering teams' time will be spent on security over the next 18 months. He notes that keynote data indicates over 50% of engineering time is shifting toward security during this transition period.
“Over the last, I would say, three to six months, just the number of vulnerabilities that are getting reported in CDEs has just gone up exponentially.”
