While Gemini 4 Argon demonstrates state-of-the-art performance on numerous AI benchmarks, Google is currently limiting public access due to cybersecurity concerns. The company states that access will be gradually expanded, beginning with API and Google Ultra subscribers.
“For the moment, however, none of this really matters. Because unfortunately, Google is not making Gemini 4 Argon generally available to the public.”
“The model scored 68% on the CWE Bench cybersecurity benchmark, tied with Grok 4.7 and GPT-6 Astra, and slightly ahead of Opus 5.5, Fable 5.1, and Mythos 5.1. This was reason enough, according to Google, to limit access to what they call a set of trusted cyber defenders, which is a good idea.”
“They said that they're engaging with the U.S. government's voluntary testing and pre-release access program and intend to gradually expand access over time, beginning with API and Google Ultra subscribers.”
