Chris Marangi of Gabelli Funds values Madison Square Garden Sports at approximately $10 billion, comparable to the Lakers' recent sale price. He notes that the New York Knicks are considered the most valuable franchise in the NBA, and the acquisition of the New York Rangers comes as a de facto 'free' addition.
“The Knicks are worth at least ten ten billion based on the Lakers selling for that much earlier this year. And you get your Rangers for free.”
