Scott Muir shared the details of a serious surf accident on September 28, 2025, where he broke his neck after being pulled into a wave. He described the challenging recovery process over the past 11 months, progressing from being unable to move to being able to engage in activities again.
“I had a surf accident almost a year ago back in September, September 28th of 2025. Um, where I broke my neck. I was surfing, pulled into a wave and just got pitched like pile drive straight down and broke my neck. And, you know, through that, you know, there's 11 months now, I guess, yeah, 11 months. The recovery process has been crazy. So I've gone, it's gone along way from not being able to move anything to now I'm back out doing things, you know, with, you know, it's it's not seamless and perfect, but I'm out there doing things again. So it's, it's absolutely amazing.”
“One year is a big mark and it just doesn't feel it almost doesn't feel real and then it almost, it's just a strange surreal kind of thing.”
