Jason Shapiro dismisses the concept of a four-year cycle in Bitcoin as 'complete garbage,' arguing that its historical occurrence twice does not guarantee future repetition. He observes that many Bitcoin bulls have missed recent rallies by trying to time these supposed cycle lows, leading to a chase for assets.
“And I will sort of talking about the seasonality thing that gets into the Bitcoin thing, because I think it's the same type of thing.”
“Which, again, to me is complete garbage. We've had two four-year cycles. So now all of a sudden everybody thinks that that has to happen for the rest of mankind. Um, which is garbage.”
“And I've seen a ton of people who I know who are Bitcoin bulls, who believe in the Bitcoin story, which is fine, but have stayed either stayed out because they've been trying to time the low at the four-year cycle, which is supposed to be sometime in October or November. Um, and so they have completely missed it.”
